Bathroom lighting requires a more complex setup than meets the eye. In old days it was enough to stick one ugly bathroom light fitting. These days we expect more quality in the bathroom design. And the bathroom lighting is an essential part of this design.

Bathroom Light For Walls and Ceiling

For other sections of the bathroom, you should still use the halogen lights. For walls, the downlights provide a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The ceiling bathroom lights fixtures should be as least exposed as possible. In this case, spotlights are an ideal choice.

The spotlights require a minimal maintenance because there is too little surface for molds and the condensation layer. If you choose spotlights then ensure that you use the low voltage products. Not only the low voltage prevents electrical accidents but also it lowers the price. High voltage lights need more electrical and particle insulation and thus cost more.

Bathroom Light Flexibility

There is a general notion that bathroom ceiling and wall lights should be adjustable. This will allow the user to optimise bathroom lighting. However, in practice it is a poor choice.

Simply put, you are not going to take a ladder to adjust lights when you are taking a bath. Similarly, you are not going to fiddle with bathroom lights fixtures when you are shaving. Any halogen lights with the sufficient globe exposure will provide good illumination.

Fortunately, these days you pay more for the modern bathroom light design rather than the usefulness of the product. Thus, the common sense should dictate your choice during bathroom design. Local businesses like Beacon Lights will sell you an ugly glass ball for $25 or so. But, you do not want your bathroom to look like a bunker.

So, practical but great looking bathroom lights fixtures for mirror, cost around $220 per pair. You pay about $180 if you want a single horizontal mirror light. The ceiling lights sell for around $170 for a cluster of 4.

The individual spotlights may cost less but the price of the installation will be significant. Do not buy designer lights unless you can afford it. They cost around 2 times the price of the similar product designed for masses.
